What it is
Note to Self looks like a chat with yourself. You write a line, paste
a link or hold the button to record, and it lands in a channel such
as #ideas, #reading or #errands.
Nothing has to be filed or formatted first: the note is kept the
moment you send it.
The work of keeping things findable happens afterwards, on the iPhone. Voice notes are transcribed and can be played back word by word. Each note gets a short title and a few tags, and Find searches by meaning as well as by words, so you can ask a question of your notes and see which ones the answer came from. There is no account, and your notes stay on your phone.

Voice, transcribed
Hold to record. The recording is transcribed on the iPhone, and playback highlights each word as it is spoken, so you can find the part you meant.
Find by meaning
Search for what a note was about, not only the words in it. Ask a question and get an answer drawn from your notes, with the notes it came from.
Send to Self
Share a link, a passage selected in Safari, text from another app or a recording from Voice Memos straight into a channel, with a line of your own.
Titles, tags and summaries
Each note is given a short title and tags. A channel, or the past week, can be summarised in a few lines.
Reminders and Later
Set a reminder on any note, or put it aside for later. A reminder you missed stays marked as overdue until you deal with it.
Five languages
English, Arabic, French, Spanish and Chinese (Simplified). Arabic lays the whole app out right to left, and every note keeps the direction of its own script.

No account. Choose a palette, light or dark, and export a full backup of your notes and recordings whenever you like.
